Lead purchasing — Sarajevo
The grades we accept, how the price is set, and how weighing and payment work. We agree the price for scrap lead directly.

Price
We agree the price for this material directly — it depends on grade, purity and quantity. Send a photo and we will quote you.

How the price is set
There is no single price. It depends on four things, which is why a photo always helps.
- Grade
- Material is sorted into grades by composition and condition.
- Purity
- Contamination — iron, plastic, insulation, paint — lowers the price because it requires extra processing.
- Quantity
- Larger quantities are priced differently from one-off deliveries.
- World market
- Buying prices follow the world metal exchanges and therefore change through the year.

What is scrap lead?
Lead is a silvery-blue to bluish-grey lustrous metal. It is soft and heavy, has a low melting point and is mechanically weak. Compared with other metals it is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. After iron and zinc it is the cheapest technical metal and has very wide use, though it is increasingly displaced because of its toxicity. Its largest application is in vehicle batteries.
For an estimate, attach a photo of the material to your enquiry — it is the fastest route to a firm price.
